BioA page of my ramblings and explorations of life thus far...a way to pause and refresh.
I am a search engine and website analytics manager for a small advertising agency in the Chicago area. I have worked in online advertising for 9 years and enjoy it a lot. Recently I won the thought leadership award for helping innovate their search & analytics products. I do strive to always understand the client needs and the consumer's needs and find those places where they overlap for our marketing programs. As a consumer myself, I always try my best to bring real life experiences into my analysis and interpretation of data and behavior and not just financial/business goals.
I have also managed Google AdWords PPC Campaigns and passed the SEM Google Certified AdWords Professional Exam 11/05. I currently look at cost per conversion statistics, post impression activity and branding value and try to balance them and make optimization recommendations to make sure we're meeting the objectives of the advertiser. Don't worry if this makes no sense, most people have no idea what I do for a living.
As far as this blog goes, it has changed a lot over the years. First being a way for me to keep in contact with friends I don't get to see much anymore and then morphing into a list blog of interesting and entertaining content I run across on the web and want to share. Now it is back to a personal blog, since my web surfing time severely cut back these days. I also like to post the occasional random picture or youtube video that I think is entertaining. They may or may not be entertaining to anyone else. I have recently only posted occasionally when I need an outlet for some self reflection. If you don't know me offline, this blog will be very boring and a waste of your time.
I also graduated from the Beginner's Improv Program at Second City in Chicago in 7/06. Through some divine intervention I was accepted into the Conservatory Program at Second City Training Center in 9/06 and made it past 2 of 2 auditions and through 4 of the 6 classes in the program. I dropped out due to health and work conflicts in 8/07. I also completed Piven 101 in 8/06. In 2008 I have been busy with lots of work, my relationship with Steve, my husband and our cats, Zeusy & Cinnamon.
